THE CHITTENANGO SOCCER CLUB

I. NAME: The name of the organization will be THE CHITTENANGO SOCCER CLUB
II. HEADQUARTERS: The headquarters of the Chittenango Soccer Club shall be maintained in the Greater Chittenango Area and all General Membership Meetings of the club will be conducted in this area.
III. OBJECTIVES: The objectives of this organization are to teach, develop, promoter and administer the game of soccer for the members of the Club. The club officers, coaches, players and spectators must adhere to the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. Participation and basic learning of skills, as well as competitiveness, is the emphasis at all age levels. While we recognize winning is a desirable objective, fair play and sportsmanship is still considered to be the main objective.
IV. AFFILIATION: The Chittenango Soccer Club shall adhere to the rules and regulations of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) through affiliation with United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.
V. MEMBERSHIP: Members of the Chittenango Soccer Club are defined to be all parents of players, coaches and any individual who otherwise is willing to donate their time and resources to further of the goals of this organization.
VI. SEASON YEAR: The Season Year of this organization shall begin 1-Sept and end 31-Aug each year.
VII. OFFICERS: The Executive Committee of the Chittenango Soccer Club shall be comprised of the Directors, the Past President, the President, the Vice-President, Recording Secretary, the Registrar and the club Treasurer.

Directors and the club officers will be elected by majority vote of the members of the Chittenango Soccer Club in attendance at the election meeting.

There shall be no fewer then four Directors elected in equal numbers from the pool of coaches and the pool non-coaching club members.

The term of office for all elected Executive Committee representatives shall be two years, and elected representatives may be re-elected.

The elected of the Directors shall be staggered such that no more than one-half of the Directors are being elected in any year.

The President will appoint a Nominations Committee comprised of non-Executive Committee members, except the Past President who will serve as the chairman of this committee.

One month prior to the election, at the General Membership Meeting, nominations will be opened for the Executive Committee positions up for election that year. The Nominations Committee will submit to the general membership an appropriate proposed slate of candidates at the meeting. Nominations will also be solicited from the floor at the time as well.

Nominations will be closed and the annual election of appropriate Executive committee positions shall he held at the regularly scheduled September General Membership Meeting.

The Executive Committee shall transact all business of the Chittenango Soccer Club and will have the power to settle all disputes, protests, questions and problems by majority vote.

Each member of the Executive Committee will possess only one vote per person.

The Past President shall assume the duties of the Director of Travel for all teams of the Chittenango Soccer Club, and will be responsible for seeing that all league travel rules are followed for traveling teams.

The President, or in his absence in the Vice-President, shall preside at all Club General Membership Meetings.

The Secretary shall record all minutes, and keep a record of all Club activities.

The Club Treasurer shall collect, disperse and account for all club monies as directed by the executive Committee. The Club Treasurer will be insured at the Club expense.

The President, with the approval of a majority of the Executive Committee, shall have the power to appoint committees and support personnel as needed by Club activities.
VIII. DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE: A Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as required by the Executive Committee. It will be comprised of at least three persons, the director of Travel, the Coach of the involved team, and at least one neutral person.
IX. REGISTRATION:

Before a player can be added to a team roster, the player must complete the registration process. All required forms must be completed in full, to include parental/guardian consent and signature for medical authorizations. All required fees and dues are due by the date(s) established by the Executive Committee.

A current player photograph and proof of age will be required as part of the registration process. Proof of age shall constitute a photocopy of a birth certificate, board of health certificate, passport or alien registration card issued by the U.S. Government.
